Common questions
What you need to know.
How long does installation take?
Your residential floor coating installation will be completed in one day. Before work begins, we will also give you clear instructions for when people, stored items, and vehicles can return to the space.
Why choose polyurea instead of epoxy?
Our chip floor system is built to resist chemicals, abrasion, and UV exposure. Long-term performance depends on the concrete, preparation, installation, traffic, and how the space is used.
Where can a coating be installed?
Garage floors, patios, pool decks, schools, showrooms, offices, kitchens, dog kennels, production areas, breweries, and more.
How long can a professionally installed concrete coating last?
A coating's service life depends on the slab, preparation, installed system, exposure, traffic, and maintenance. We assess the concrete first, recommend the right system, and explain what to expect before installation.
What makes a professional coating different from paint or a DIY kit?
A professional project begins with an assessment, mechanical surface preparation, appropriate repairs, and a coating system selected for the space. Product performance still depends on the concrete, preparation, installation, use, and exposure.
Do you offer a warranty?
We honor Penntek’s limited lifetime residential warranty for eligible installations. Coverage, exclusions, limitations, registration requirements, and the installed system apply. We will explain the warranty clearly and help you understand the documentation for your project. Read Penntek’s current warranty documents ↗

Does Texas weather affect a concrete coating project?
Sun, dust, temperature changes, moisture, traffic, and the slab's condition all matter when planning a coating. We evaluate the space and its exposure before recommending an installation approach; performance depends on the specified system, preparation, use, and conditions.
Can I get a free quote in my area?
Yes. Request a free, no-obligation quote with your city and project type. We will confirm that the property is within the current service range and discuss the concrete, access, and scheduling needs.
How much does a concrete coating cost?
Pricing depends on the size of the space, the condition of the slab, and the finish you choose, so we don’t publish flat prices online. We provide free, no-obligation on-site quotes with a clear, honest price before any work begins.
Will the floor be slippery when wet?
No. Every floor includes a textured, slip-resistant additive for extra traction—especially important in garages, patios, and pool decks.
How do I clean and maintain a coated floor?
Sweep or hose it off, and use mild soap and water for deeper cleaning. No resealing or special products are required, and pressure washing is fine—just keep it under 1,500 PSI.
Do I need to reseal the floor after cleaning it?
Routine resealing is not part of the basic cleaning guidance for our chip system. Use mild soap and water, avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners, and contact Elite if the surface is damaged or you are unsure what maintenance it needs.
Can a coating be applied over heated floors?
Yes. Polyurea handles consistent warmth and thermal expansion, so it works over radiant slabs in garages, shops, and homes. Mention heated floors during your quote so the crew can prep accordingly.
Can you coat concrete that already has cracks or damage?
Yes. Minor cracks and surface damage are repaired during mechanical preparation before coating. We assess the slab during your free quote and flag any repairs it needs.
Do you offer financing or payment plans?
We do not offer in-house financing. Ask about accepted payment methods during your quote, and rely on the written proposal for current pricing and payment terms.
